Marcus K. G. Adomey
Marcus is currently a staff of the University of Ghana and currently a PhD Fellow at Aalborg University, Denmark. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Ghana, and MSc in Computer and Communication Networks from Telecom Sud Paris, France.
Marcus is the technical coordinator of ghNOG, Education manager at AfricaCERT, CERT class Track leader at AfNOG and has been travelling all over Africa to teach mainly Unix System Administration and Computer Security Incident Handling.
Roger Oteng Baah
Roger currently works with IBM Ghana as a Network Services Specialist. He is a Certified Network and Security Professional with extensive experience in network design, security, implementation and administration.
Roger has over 10 years’ experience the IT industry with specialization in Networks, Security and Data Center Design and Management. He is a member of theses professional bodies, British Standard Institute (BSI), Internet Society of Ghana (ISOC), African Network Information Center (ARINIC), Internet Corp. of Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). A two-time ICANN fellow and a contributor to IETF, IGF both locally and globally and the entire internet ecosystem. Roger holds a PMI- Project Management Certificate from the University of Texas at Austin, TX, USA, MSc. Telecoms Management from the Ghana Technology University College and a BSc. Management and Computer Studies from Wisconsin International University College Ghana.
He holds the following industry professional certification: PRINCE2 Project Management, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor Certificate, Certified Data Centre Design Professional (CDCDP) BTEC Level 5, IT Service Management (ITIL V3), Cisco Information Security Specialist (CISS) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Eric is Open Data activist and a professional teacher. He works as the Assistant Public Relations/Protocol Officer for National Information Technology Agency (NITA) and doubles as the Data Management Specialist for Ghana Open Data Initiative (GODI).
Eric is an active member of ISOC Ghana Chapter since 2012 as a Special assistant to Mr Eric Akumiah the then ISOC Ghana President. His interest is to see Internet being used by our rural folks to transfer data and receive data from any part of the world for sustainable economic development.
Eric holds Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Sociology from University of Ghana, Local Government Administration Specialist and some certificates in the area of Information Technology.
Francis is an IT professional with certification from IBM, Huawei, ITU-IMPART, JPCERT/CC. He has extensive knowledge in computer programming such as VB, C#, CORE JAVA, J2EE, CMS (drupal, wordpress, joomla) and database like Oracle, MySQL and postgresql.
He has worked as a freelance software developer and is currently with the Ghana Internet Registry. Presently, he is the vice-secretary of the Internet Society – Ghana Chapter and has membership with other association likes ITAG, Afrinic and IGF.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Advance Computing from C-DAC’s Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS), Pune – India and a BSc. Computer Science from the University for Development Studies.
Vanessa currently works with the Ghana Internet Registry and is part of the Ghana Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-GH). She holds MSc in Network and Technology Management from the University of Huddersfield, UK, and a BSc degree Computer Science and Statistics from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Vanessa is a computer security expert, and holds certificates in incident report. She is a member of Ghana IGF, ISOC, GHNOG, AFNOG and previously worked at Broadband Home Limited (Zipnet, Accra).
James was the former president of Internet Society Caucus of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (ISOC KNUST) at Kumasi, Ghana. He has over five years of experience in diverse fields including software development, e-Commerce, credit reference bureau reporting, financial sector and public speaking.
Originally a software engineer, he started his career as Java developer at Sabonay Technologies Limited, Kumasi from where he joined HudsonPrice Data Solutions Limited, Accra as C# (C Sharp) developer and later Sales manager. He later joined Zoobashop Limited, Accra as Database/inventory manager.
James was a panelist at the Ghana Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2015; and has certificates of participation in Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) track – ghNOG Tamale, Ghana (September 2014); and Internet Standards workshop (May 2013); He also has BSc in Computer Science from KNUST; and an MSc degree in Space Science from the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute (GSSTI), Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC), Kwabenya-Accra, Ghana
With his youthful exuberance, and widely-acclaimed acumen for membership engagement, James is poised to accelerate Ghana’s growth momentum
COMMUNICATIONS AND PROGRAMMES CHAIR
Vera is a Communications practitioner and is a Deputy Director at the Public Affairs Directorate at the University of Professional Studies, Accra responsible for media relations, events and protocol. Vera was the Communications Chair for ISOC between 2010 -12.
In private life, she publishes Readme, a magazine for children. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies and Bachelor’s degree in French and Linguistics from the University of Ghana, Legon.
Emmanuel has been trained in IT Project Management, System and Business Analysis, VB. #Net Programming, Advanced Networking, Oracle Platforms (Oracle Database and Applications with PHP, SQL, and Web Development), and Data Modelling with UML.
He also holds Certificate in Oil & Gas Business (Certificate in Oil & gas Management/Commercial) and has undergone Computer Hardware training by IBM Africa Institute.
Emmanuel has a BSc from the Valley View University and a Certificate in Business and Computing from the Westminster University.
Samuel is currently the Executive Director of Media Response and Project Director of E-Governance Platform and Digital Ghana TV Show on GTV Govern. Samuel has over 10 years experience in Project Management, Training Management, Communications & Consultancy Services.
He has also been trained in Extractives Data Literacy (Google/AMI); Internet Governance (ISOC); Social Accountability Tools for Africa (World Bank Inst.); Basic Advocacy Training (BUSAC). Samuel holds a Masters Degree in Distance Education and E-Learning from the University of Ghana as well as a Certified BPO Master Trainer Certification from BCI International.
