ISOC GHANA Partners UPSA to Organise Training for SMEs

ISOC Ghana joined the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the University of Professional Studies to organize an awareness creation workshop for SMEs in the Madina catchment area on how to efficiently run their business. While there were presentations on basic book keeping, marketing and sales and how to access credit. Our own Maud Ashong Elliott, Education Chair made a insightful presentation on using technology to enhance busineses. Speaking on the importance of leveraging technology in business, the Education Chair zeroed in on the use of smart phones and social media, as well the use of applications to enhance ones business.
Feedback on her presentation revealed the knowledge gap in this area, which is an opportunity for ISOC in creating awareness in this area. ISOC is planning on a similar workshop for women next year.
