Global Encryption Day Ghana 2026

Global Encryption Day Ghana 2026 will be marked with a practical public encryption clinic under the theme “Encryption for Everyday Safety: Protecting Phones, Messages, Money, and Personal Data.” The event will take place on 21 October 2026 and is designed to help students, traders, SME owners, parents, teachers, journalists, public servants, youth groups, and everyday smartphone users understand how encryption protects their digital lives. Rather than a traditional conference, the programme will offer hands-on support through practical sessions on phone security, encrypted messaging, password protection, two-factor authentication, mobile money safety, phishing awareness, secure cloud storage, and personal data protection. Participants will also receive guidance through help desks and practical demonstrations, followed by a community encryption pledge encouraging them to share what they learn with others. The event builds on the public-facing agenda developed for Global Encryption Day Ghana 2026, which includes registration, opening remarks, encryption education, phone security walkthroughs, help desks, mobile money safety, data protection, evaluation, certificates, and networking.
