The meeting started with Mr Charles Ayiku Ayiku as our honourable Moderator. Welcome Address was given by Madam Maud Elliot Ashong and Keynote address by Mr Eric Akumiah.
Our main Speaker Mr Dario Bianchi, (Digital Transformation Lead, MTN) educated us on the various data platforms.
• MTN MOMO API (For Fintech Solutions)
• CHENOSIS (API Marketplace)
• AYOBA (Digital Services)
Mtn’s Aim is to move from being just a telecommunication to be a digital Operator. Mtn Momo API helps developers and businesses to easily accept payments either on App or Website for smooth transactions.
Chenosis.io partners with Mtn to allow businesses, customers, developers, relevant data, and services to publish their API (Application Programming Interface) for secured management. It will be responsible for managing the relationship and the billing of business customers who want to have access to APIs.

Chenosis however has various characteristics.
• Local Verification: permits a developer to build an App that will only service users in a specific country / specific mobile operator. For verification, a network API will be referenced and if verified the user can download App.
• Identity Verification: this instance pushes for verification of identity; calling for personal identification documents to prove business is true and not fraud.
• Sim Swap Verification: this instance also assists when transactions are being made; money being transferred to an account. The App asks that the recipient of the money is added either as a beneficiary. Then the bank sends an OTP (One-time password) to consumers phone number (MSISDN) for verification. The App in use will query chenosis to see if the sim has been swapped in the past 24 hrs if yes transaction will be declined, and the supplier will be prompted for an alternative for payment. If it was swapped within 48 hours, it will allow as it will be a normal act of sim operation.
• SMS to Customers: App sends SMS to customers on all transactions.
• E-commerce: Payments are accepted and vice versa with MTN Momo.
Other Chenosis APIs include:
• Facial Recognition
• Bank verification number
• Chenosis key (two factor authentication)
• Programmable USSD
• Chenosis Locate
• Payment
• National Id verification.
Here went ahead to mention few Momo API’s.
• Collection Widget: responsible for receiving Momo payments on website or App through a ussd or QR code with 1.5% deduction per transaction as service fees. This deduction applies to amounts above GHS1000.
• Collections: Enables remote collection of bills, fees, taxes, etc. It has same 1.5% conditions as the collection widget.
• Disbursements API: responsible for depositing funds to multiple users. Its service fee is capped at 0.5%per transaction.
• Remittances: remits cash to local recipients from around the globe with ease.
All these makes the Momo transactions smooth and effective. However, the Mobile /GSM API’s also plays a role. That is.
• Sim Swap
• Identity Verifications
• Roaming Info
• Mobile subscriber Information
• Ported Sim
• Home of Network Information
• Messaging
• Recharge
• Two factor authentications.

When you publish your API on Chenosis you enjoy the following:
Developers Support and Operations: Chenosis continuously monitors partner API KPI and handle all first line support for all white labelled API’s.
Relationship with Developers: developers must register and integrate their applications so all transactions will appear under the chenosis account in the partner API.
Roles and Responsibilities: Publishers provide technical access and product info for the Chenosis marketplace.
Technical Integration: Chenosis provide all the integration services for developers to create apps, generate security keys.
API Partner and Publisher Settlement: Chenosis will bulk settle API partners and publishers on an agreed settlement schedule.
Payments and Collections: Chenosis supports premium, prepaid and post-paid APIs.It handles all invoicing, billing, payments, and collections directly with developers.
He further elaborated more on MTN’s need for partners who are willing to try the Chenosis.io with them.
Ayoba, the third on the list is a Super App which includes access to instant messaging, games, music, content (articles), etc and it does not use data bundle. It is also a micro-App environment where Apps are published on platform(developer.ayoba.me).
