Mr. Francis Acquah Amaning was inducted into office as the president of the Internet Society Ghana Chapter together with other executive council members on Thursday 28th May 2020 at the ISOC Ghana office in Accra, Ghana and was chaired by Prof. Nii Quaynor.

Francis Acquah Amaning is an IT professional with certification from IBM, Huawei, ITU-IMPART, JPCERT/CC. He has extensive knowledge in computer programming such as VB, C#, CORE JAVA, J2EE, CMS (drupal, wordpress, joomla) and databases like Oracle, MySQL and postgresql.

He had his first degree in Bsc. Computer Science at the University of Development Studies from 2008 to 2012 and continued to have his Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Computing in University of Pune- India.


He has worked as a freelance software developer, CEO if Fransit Technology and is currently works as a systems administrator at  the Ghana Domain Name Registry.

  • Lead ISOC Ghana Chapter the place third in the 2019 chapterthon world community network project.
  • Developed and maintained websites for Ghana Internet Governance Forum, ISOC Ghana Chapter and project in Ghana geared towards connecting people to the internet.
  • I have supported several community network project in Ghana.
  • Was part of the team that push for the National Communication Authority to pass the Licence bill for TV White Space in Ghana

Francis has membership with other association likes Afrinic, Opendata, IOT Hub, Linux Accra, IGF and AfNOG.
